🌸🐝 Spring is Almost Here—And So Are Our Hummingbird Feeders! 🐦🌱
At Saving the Honeybees, we know pollinators come in all shapes and sizes! While honeybees may be Maine's most famous pollinators, our mission goes beyond the hive. We're dedicated to supporting all pollinators that make our ecosystem flourish.
🐝 Maine's Amazing Bee Pollinators
Managed honeybees (Apis mellifera), bumblebees (Bombus species), mason bees (Osmia), mining bees (Andrena), leafcutter bees (Megachile), sweat bees (Halictidae), and many more play crucial roles in pollination right here in Maine!
🦋 Butterfly Pollinator Superstars
Beautiful butterflies like the Monarch, Eastern tiger swallowtail, Mourning cloak, Red admiral, Painted lady, Viceroy, and many skipper species are also pollinator superstars in our Maine gardens and fields.
🪲 The Unsung Heroes
Let's not forget moths, flies, wasps, and beetles—all hardworking, often overlooked pollinators that contribute enormously to our ecosystem every single day.
🐦 The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird

And last but not least, one of the most dazzling visitors to our gardens and fields: the ruby-throated hummingbird! Maine's only hummingbird species, they help pollinate native tubular flowers and bring a special sparkle to spring.
✨ Hummingbird Feeders Coming Soon!
To celebrate all pollinators, our new hummingbird feeders will be arriving soon and will be hung outside in the apiary! We hope to welcome many hungry hummingbirds this season and encourage everyone to do the same in their gardens.
🌸 Let's keep working together to help pollinators of all kinds thrive—bees, birds, butterflies, and beyond! 🌸
